AMIA is a non-profit industry organization offering support and resources for the lawful marijuana industry in Alaska. AMIA does not sell or offer for sale any marijuana or marijuana products.
About AMIA
The AMIA was formed in 2015 in preparation for Alaska's recreational marijuana industry. Our founding board consists of 5 members currently engaged in the formation of a legitimate marijuana industry in Alaska with plans to add board members as the industry develops. The AMIA was conceptualized in response to an overwhelming majority of potential cannabis entrepreneurs desiring an Alaska-based trade organization.
Our goal is to provide a platform for cannabusinesses and their employees to pool collective resources and share in the benefits provided by the organization. Through fund raising efforts in the form of dues payment, sponsored recreational activities and informational seminars, the AMIA will provide the cannabis industry with lobbying efforts on the national, state and local level as well as options for group healthcare plans and insurance.
