Meet the artist Hey all! I'm Jillian, 23, and the owner and artist behind Young & Free Designs. I'm a longboarder, graphic designer, artist, and I'm trying to live the dream! In 2012 I combined my two passions of Longboarding and art on my own board, and after tremendous feedback and numerous requests I opened up shop and started designing boards for friends and family as a hobby. In time, it developed into a career, and my aim is to bring art to the world of boarding and help inspire kids get into skating and live happy, healthy, lives. My goal is to create a safe and fun outlet for at risk kids and build a team of skaters who love life and appreciate art. Longboarding and art are both amazing outlets to combat depression, anxiety, and more; things that hit close to home for me. If you want to learn more and hear my personal story, I encourage you to find me this summer and spark a conversation! I will be throughout the PNW this summer vending, and hopefully traveling by the end of 2017 in my studio bus! That's right, I've been converting an airport shuttle bus into a studio on wheels!
